Islamic Financial Services: CIMB launches Islamic Health Insurance
Malaysia's second largest financial services group, CIMB, has launched a health insurance scheme within its Takaful range, in conjunction with the UK's AVIVA group.
The product, called "EasyLife Takaful Health Plan" is, on the face of it, a pretty standard health insurance plan with surgery, lump sum payments, income plans, death benefits and cover for dread diseases including kidney dialysis and cancer treatment, both in- and out-patient.
Also there's an option to continue cover up to age 70, beyond the age for many other policies.
The plan is managed by CIMB's joint venture with AVIVA, CIMB AVIVA Takaful Bhd.
