Investment banking: company aims to put fund raising messages on your desktop

A UK company, PharaTelevision, says that it's found a way to help pharmaceutical and bio-technology companies make their funding pitches direct to "key decision makers in the financial sector."

Working with Reuters Insider, a platform for - in effect - self publishing within the Financial Sector, PharmaTelevision plans to record corporate videos and place them within the Reuters Insider network.

The company already produces editorial programming but the move into corporate financial pitches is new.

"Dr Fintan Walton, Chairman of PharmaTelevision, said "When you are looking to raise funding, communication is the key to winning the deal and building your business. Our clients benefit from our targeted approach, identifying the key decision makers from a resource of over 500,000 prospects through Reuters Insider."

To us, it seems just one step removed from video adverts on petrol pumps and we all know how much we love them, don't we?
