Insurance: US Broker International Excess opens specialist agribusiness unit
International Excess Agribusiness is headed by a specialist in the area who is also a farmer.
Chuck Gabel, Divisional Vice President of International Excess Agribusiness, has specialised in crop insurance and farm insurance for 20+ years. Born and raised on a dairy and grain farm in Northwest, Ohio, Gabel later took over and grew the family farm operation, while at the same time sitting on the board of a local farmer's mutual insurance carrier.
Because of his background, Gabel understood the needs of farmers and in turn was in a position to help them understand how crop insurance and hail insurance could protect their revenues. He later sold his farming operation and spent the next years specialising in agriculture insurance and crop insurance. Chuck Gabel says, "Insurance for Agribusiness has become my full-time passion and I'm working to give the farming industry the protection they deserve."
