Product Liability: Insurers lose chance of recovery against carmakers

Insurance companies that joined Chrysler as a third party in accident claims are to lose all rights of recovery under the plan approved by the Insolvency Court yesterday. And, worse, they may be on the hook for a wide range of claims that they never thought would arise.
