Sanctions: OFAC Update 2010 11 04 - North Korea
On 4 November, 2010, the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control issued new Sanctions Regulations relating to North Korea.
The North Korea Sanctions Regulations 31 CFR part 510 to implement Executive Order 13466 of 26 June, 2008, "Continuing Certain Restrictions with Respect to North Korea and North Korean Nationals" and Executive Order 13551 of 30 August, 2010, "Blocking Property of Certain Persons with Respect to North Korea."
This new final rule was published at 75 FR 67912 (4 November, 2010).
OFAC intends to supplement this part 510 with a more comprehensive set of regulations, which may include additional interpretive and definitional guidance and additional general licenses and statements of licensing policy.
